
Brian Bish
Head Pastor
Brian is the Head Pastor at Hope Fellowship and joined the church in September of 2019. He is husband to his incredible wife, Natalie, and father to their two sons, Luther and James. Brian has a passion for preaching, leadership, and helping the Gospel make sense to a secular culture. He is a lover of sports and all sorts of games. He holds a Bachelor's in Chemistry from the University of Illinois and a Masters of Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary.

Marisa Guel
Children's Ministry Director
Marisa Guel is a native of Brazoria County. She has over 20 years experience serving in children’s ministry. Marisa and her wonderful husband,Mario, have been members of Hope Fellowship Church since 2014. They are blessed with two beautiful and talented daughters, Olivia and Emily. In her free time, Marisa enjoys going to the movies, trying out new restaurants, and spending quality time with her family. She holds an Associate Degree in Vascular Technology and has worked as an ultrasound technologist in the Medical Center for 20 years. Marisa has a passion to share about God’s love with others through her gentle and quiet spirit.

Raymond Knox II
Worship Director
Raymond Knox has been serving at Hope Fellowship since 2011. His passion for worship started at a young age when he learned guitar and began leading worship for youth services. Since then he has learned to play the drums, bass and keyboard. Raymond also has a passion for graphic design which he utilizes for the church's media outreach. In 2016 Raymond married his high school sweetheart, Taylor, and has two son's Wesley and Theo. Raymond loves spending time with his friends and family. Fellowship along side personal devotionals are a big part in his spiritual growth.

Eric Nelson
Interim Student Director
Eric brings over 22 years of vocational youth ministry experience and a heart for students. A longtime member of our church for the past eight years, Eric has faithfully served in a variety of ministry roles.
Eric is a Husband to his loving wife Terri Nelson and combined have 6 children with ages ranging from 16-25.
For 26 consecutive years he has emceed a youth camp in Palacios, TX . Eric is passionate about empowering others and building them up in their faith.
Fun facts: His favorite movie is Braveheart, his favorite sport is football, and he claims no loyalty to any shampoo brand (we’ll allow it).
We’re excited to have Eric leading our students during this season!

Bianca Deajon
Office Professional
Bianca Deajon was born and raised in Brazoria County. In 2003, she married James Deajon at Primera Iglesia in Clute, a church that would become a central part of their family’s spiritual and personal journey. Together, they raised their three sons John, Jeremiah, and Joseph within the same church where they exchanged their vows. Each member of the family was also baptized there, making the church a place filled with meaningful milestones and cherished memories.
Although Bianca’s professional background is in accounting, she has discovered a fulfilling calling within her church community at Hope Fellowship. Here, she has been able to combine her administrative strengths with her desire to serve, forming connections that bring her both joy and purpose. She approaches every role with dedication and a heart for helping others.
Outside of her responsibilities, Bianca is deeply committed to her family. She loves spending quality time with her husband and sons, and she holds a special affection for her cat, who is never far from her side.
In her free time, Bianca enjoys being outdoors, and frequently attends Zumba classes, where she finds both energy and community. Giving back is also a priority for her. She volunteers whenever she can, always eager to lend a hand and make a positive impact.

Daniel Mowery
Life Groups Coordinator
Daniel Mowery serves as the Director of Life Groups, where he helps people find meaningful community and equips leaders to foster Christ-centered discipleship. After God used a Life Group to draw him back to Himself and ignite the deepest spiritual growth of his life, Daniel became passionate about helping others experience the same. His desire is to see Life Groups reflect the joyful, devoted fellowship of the early church and to encourage believers to “lay aside every weight and run with endurance… looking to Jesus” (Hebrews 12:1–2). Daniel and his family have been part of the church since September 2019. He is the proud husband of Ryan and the dad of energetic twin boys, Titus and Silas.

Alan Strickland
(Elder Term 1/25 – 12/27)
Alan has lived in Lake Jackson for over 30 years and is now
retired. He and his gracious wife of 45 years have a son and a daughter with her husband and two children (5 and 9). He earned a BS and MS in chemistry from Caltech, an MD from Baylor College of Medicine, and a DChem from the University of Texas at Dallas. Alan enjoys teaching
the Bible to adults and has taught for virtually all of the last 45 years.

Greg Welte
(Elder Term 1/25 - 12/27)
Greg Welte has attended HFC since 1996. He is originally from southern Indiana, but got to Texas as soon as he could! He has been a Missions Team leader for over 30 years and has gone on short term missions trips to Africa, Caribbean, USA and Mexico. He has a passion for teaching the Bible locally or internationally and promoting missions outreach. He is best known at HFC as “Dorothy’s husband.”

Kerry Hughes
(Elder Term 6/25-12/25)
Kerry Hughes has faithfully served Hope Fellowship Church for 20 years with his wife Ann and four children. He was born in Freeport, lived in Clute and Lake Jackson, and worked for Dow Chemical for 36 years before retiring in 2023. He is a certified computer nerd with a degree in Computer Science from Baylor University, and uses those gifts to help the church and various other non-profits in the area maintain their Information Technology. He realized he needed the grace of the Lord Jesus at 8 years old, was baptized, and has served in many roles in the church over the years. He is a rabid, frothing at the mouth, Houston Astros fan as well as an avid reader across a wide range of theological and spiritual topics. Currently he is on a G.K. Chesterton kick, and late in the evening you will typically find him reading science fiction.
